Frieda Bass Lifsey
Mrs. Frieda Bass Lifsey, 74, of Griffin, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at Upson Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Lifsey was born July 15, 1933, in Griffin, daughter of the late Bufford Bass and the late Dolis Folds Bass. She was a member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her son, Robbie Lifsey, and brother, Norman Bass.
Survivors include her husband, James Lifsey of Griffin; daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Kenneth Joyce of Sinton, Texas, and Jane and Rusty Pote of Greenville, Ga.; grandchildren, Deanna McWhorter, Ryan McWhorter, Summer McWhorter, Terry Attaway, Kenneth Joyce Jr., Ricky Thomas and Randy Thomas; mother-in-law, Cecil Miller; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Bennie Bass, Gerald Bass and Raymond Bass; and sister, Shirley Jackson.
Funeral services for Mrs. Frieda Bass Lifsey will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2008, in the Warren Haisten Memorial Chapel. The Rev. John Nance will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit the family from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2008, at the funeral home.
