She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. She was preceded in death by her husband; James Horace Bass. She is survived by children; Linda K. Abercrombie of McDonough, James Ricky Bass of Senoia, John Dennis Bass of Kennesaw; sisters, Mary Elder of Griffin, Ruth Blalock of Griffin; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held, Monday, September 15, 2008, at 2 PM in the chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. Rev. Irvin Pearre and Dr. George Worrell will officiate. Interment Griffin Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends, Saturday from 6-8 PM and Sunday from 2-5 PM at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife, Carrie; children, Linda K. Abercrombie of McDonough, James Ricky Bass of Senoia and John Dennis Bass of Kennesaw; sister, Carol Garner of Barnesville; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2007, in the chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. Dr. George Worrell and the Rev. Irvin Pearre will officiate. Interment will be at Griffin Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2007, at the funeral home.
