He sold the land which his father gave him to William Clopton. This land lay along the upper side of Black Creek. It is probable that some of his Estate lay within Hanover County for he and some of his children appear in the records of St. Paul's Parish. Some of his children were registered in St. Peter's. William son of John born Sep 17, 1725; Ann daughter of John born July 17, 1726; Ellinor daughter of John born Dec 7, 1729.
