Rose Bessette
Homemaker, lived most of her life in Warren
Rose Bessette, 99, formerly of Wood Street and Desilets Nursing Home, both in Warren, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003, at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence. She was the wife of the late Alfred A. Bessette. Born in Warren, she was the daughter of the late Ovila and Marie (Saindon) Riopel. She lived in Warren most of her life. Mrs. Bessette was a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. Jean Baptiste Church where she was a member of the Union of Prayer. She leaves a daughter, Doris Bousquet of Tiverton; a sister, Florida Bouffard of Warren; three grandchildren, Steven and Michael Bousquet of Tiverton, and Denise Costanza of Warren; and three great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Arthur, Ovila and Mary Riopel, Eva Trombley, Aurea Vincent, Alma Vincent, Blanche Couturier and Delia Burke Her funeral was on Saturday, Feb. 15, from the William J. Smith & Son Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Jean Baptiste Church. She was buried in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Warren.
