  Notes	Obituary Mr. R.D. Bass, who moved to Columbia last years, from Burkesville, died in Louisville last Friday night, following an operation. Mr. Bass was a farmer and was also County Superintendent of Public School in Cumberland county for a number of years before his health failed. He was twice married and his second wife, who was Miss Thetis Williams, and a number of children by the first marriage survive him. He remains were brought to Columbia Saturday night. Funeral services were conducted at the home, Sunday afternoon at two o?clock by Rev. J.J. Cole. Interment was in the city cemetery.
