- William Salmons was the son of Elizabeth Salmons. She married (2) Reuben Bassett. Reuben was most likely a brother to Sarah's father Ebenezer Bassett. It is likely that William was the son of Jacob Salmon. Jacob Salmons, born 1786/1790, died before 18 Aug 1846 in Villonio, Jackson County, Indiana, was the son of Peter Salmon and Christenea Weselly?. This Jacob married (1) Elizabeth Montgomery on 11 Dec 1811 in Hanover Township, Butler County, Ohio. He married (2) Elizabeth Monroe. This Elizabeth Monroe could be the Elizabeth Salmons Bassett mentioned above.
