Wesley Lane Bass
Winterport - Wesley Lane Bass, 84, passed away peacefully June 3, 2020, at his home. He was born April 28, 1936, in Brewer, the son of Phillip and Madeline (Davis) Bass.
Wesley started in the family construction business at the age of 13. He started driving trucks at the age of 15, and later on took over the family business. He was a loyal member of the Order of Oddfellows, Garfield Lodge #99 in Winterport for more than 50 years.
Wesley's passion was his family. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching T.V. He loved going to Baxter State Park, fishing at Fowler Pond with his nephew, "Donnie" and his brother, Will. He also loved his animals.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved wife, Bertha; stepmother, Doris; sister, Evelyn Bass; and son, Robert Hall Jr. Surviving is his brother, Francis Bass and wife, Maxine; sister, Geneva (Bass) Tupper and husband, Steve; and daughters, Goldie Hall, Diane Hall, Kathy Nickerson, and Theresa Gomez. He was loved by his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and many nephews, nieces, and friends.
The family of Wesley Bass wishes to extend a special thanks to his very dear friends, Jim Leonard and Dave Nason; and his special nephew, Donald Bass.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life 12-4 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2020, at Wesley's residence, 2 Haul Rd., Winterport. Everyone is invited to bring their favorite dish. Condolences to the family may be expressed at brookingssmith.com.
