The service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Live Oak Cemetery in Live Oak. A native of Americus, Ga., she was a member of the Navy League; a volunteer for Spoleto and the Charleston County Library, St. Paul?s branch; and a tour guide for Magnolia Gardens. She is survived by two sons, Tim Bass of Meggett, S.C., and Steve Bass of Folly Beach, S.C.; four daughters, Gail Ellis of Summerville, S.C., Peggy Bass of Ladson, S.C., Luanne Smith of Goose Creek, S.C., and Kathy Brown of Meggett, S.C.; a stepson, Douglass Jordan Jr. of Chattanooga, Tenn.; two stepdaughters, Betsy Jones of Summerville, S.C., and Melissa Jordan of Winchester, Conn.; two sisters, Bobby Chadwick of Edgefield, S.C., and Genie Hughes of Virginia Beach, Va.; and 12 grandchildren.
