Blonnie Morgan Bass
Blonnie Morgan Bass, 102, went to Heaven to be with her Lord April 16, 2012.
She was the daughter of the late Weldon and Effie Melton Morgan and wife to the late Neal L. Bass.
Blonnie taught the Faith Sunday School class for over for ty years at East Belmont Baptist Church. She retired from textiles after for ty-five years of service.
Blonnie was a devout Christian, faithful wife, outstanding mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother and friend.
Survivors include her sons; Reverend Richard Bass and wife, Rose of Forest City, NC; E.F. "Buddy" Bass and wife, Jennifer of Belmont; sister; Betty Jo Mickler ; grandchildren, Debbie, Bill, Andy, Laurie and Tammy; and five Great-Grandchildren.
Celebration of Life Service will be at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at East Belmont Baptist Church with the Revs. Jeff Taylor, A.A. Bailey and Richard Bass officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park. Blonnie was also preceded in death by; an infant daughter; g r a n d d a u g h t e r, Betsy Bass; brother, James W. Morgan; sisters; Willie Kay, Evelyn Bishop, and Dorothy Brissie.
