Hilton Webb Bass Jr.
Hilton Webb Bass Jr. "Butch," 66, of Wilson, went to be with his heavenly father on April 18, 2021. Due to COVID-19, a private family service will be held at Joyner's Funeral Home, Wilson.
Butch had an infectious smile and positive energy that would light up a room. The person who people love to be around is a definition well suited for him. Charismatic to be exact, natural charm.
"You Are a Stranger Here But Once" is a philosophy he adopted, lived by and carried into a 28-year business, Hilton's Men's and Ladies' Shop. This journey he and his wife, Alice, set forth on was nothing but rewarding. The lifelong relationships that were made will never be forgotten.
Butch is preceded in death by his parents, Hilton Webb Bass and Inez Jackson Bass.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Alice Adams Bass; sister, Trudy Williams and husband, David; sister-in-law, Suzanne Hughes; brother-in-law, Skip Adams; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105-3678 or online at www.stjude.org.
The family would like to send sincere gratitude to Community Home Care and Hospice of Wilson for the staff's love and care during this most difficult time.
Condolences may be directed to Joyner's Funeral Home and Crematory at www.joyners.net.
