He is survived by his wife: Diane Bass of Sebring; children: Debbie (Gene) Bass of FL; Jim Bass of FL; Diana (David) Blake of FL; Daniel (Janette) Bass of CA, Debra (John) Bass, Ervin (Brenda) Bass of FL, Elizabeth Biermann of SC; brother: Jim Bass; sisters: Francis Bateman, Ruby Burkett, Leona Pickering, Mary Cox, Sanny Carter; twenty-three grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his daughter: Flora Horton and his son: Roy Lee Bass. There will be a funeral service on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 11:00am with Pastor Wilmont McCrary officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00am. Burial will be immediately following service at Pinecrest Cemetery in Sebring, Florida.
