Daniel Warren Baas Jr.

Mr. Daniel Warren Baas, Jr. Age 85, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Monroe County Hospital. Mr. Baas was a lifelong resident of Monroe County and lived in Monroeville. He owned and operated Frisco Barber Shop for many years. He was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church and a former member of First Baptist Church of Frisco City. He served as a deacon for 37 years. Mr. Baas is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mrs. Earline Baas of Monroeville; his daughters, Elaine (Larry) Hines of Monroeville and Peggy (David) Lawrence of Excel; his five grandsons, Derick Hines of Alabaster, Wes Hines of Greenville, Chad Lawrence of Minneapolis, MN, Brian Lawrence of Excel and Adam Lawrence of Jackson; two great granddaughters and four great grandsons. Funeral services for Mr. Baas will be Friday, February 19, 2010 at Eastwood Baptist Church in Monroeville with Dr. Sam Tate, Dr. Jack Brown, Rev. Steve Dunn, Rev. Mark McCullough and Rev. Clayton Barnes officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Frisco City. Visitation for Mr. Baas was Thursday, February 18, 2010 from 5:30 to 8:30 PM at Monroe Chapel Funeral Home.
