  Notes	Peoria Journal Star, Illinois, Friday, 8 November 1963 Mrs. Bessie Bass Mrs. Bessie Bass, 68, of 2715 Montana St., and formerly of 2036 Oregon St., died at 8:50 a.m. today in Proctor Hospital, where she was admitted Nov. 4. She was born Sept. 2, 1896 in Nebraska, the daughter of Amos and Elmira Glasford Saylor. She was married to Clarence Bass, Nov. 3, 1928 at Pekin. He died April 19, 1962. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Phyllis Maxiell and Mrs. Faye Lacey, both of Peoria; two sons, Lester Lightbody of La Grange; and Dean Bass of Peoria; a step, Leo Bass of Creve Coeur; 37 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Stella Rieger of Glasford; four brothers, Lewis and Elmer Saylor of Pekin; Earl Saylor of Glasford; and Leonard Saylor of Englewood, Calif. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Stone Mortuary at Bartonville with the Rev. John Schlenker of Glasford Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after 4 p.m. Sunday.
