Bass, 86, New Hampshire?s chief executive from 1911-1913, will be h3eld at the Congregational Church Monday at 2 p.m. He died Friday. Gov. Bass? political career began with his election to the House of Representatives in 1906. He served until 1909 when he was elected to the State Senate. In 1910 he was elected governor on the Republican ticket and two years later he was closely associated with President Theodore Roosevelt in the progressive movement. In later years he continued to be active in Republican politics and in 1937 served as vice chairman of the Republican National Program Committee. Gov. Bass was a native of Chicago. He was gradudated from Harvard University in 1896. He also held honorary degrees from Dartmouth College and the University of New Hampshire. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Frank A. Bonsal of Glydon, Del., and Mrs. John A. Bross of McLean, Va.; and three sons, U.S. Rep. Perkins Bass (R-NH), Atty. Robert P. Bass Jr., of Hopkinton, and Jeremiah S. Bass of Tucson, Ariz.
