  Notes	The Oregonian, Portland, Oregon, Thursday, 20 January 1977 Gifford Bass Private memorial service will be held for Gifford E. bass, 6515 SW Barnes Road, a retired partner in an insurance firm who died Monday in a Portland hospital. He was 71. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; a daughter, Nancy Kelrli, Oakland, Calif.; two sisters, Naoma Bass and Irma Uridge, both of Fresno, Calif., and five grandchildren. Mr. Bass was a graduate of the University of Nebraska Law School. he was a member of Scottish Rite Multnomah Athletic Club and the National Office Management Association. The family suggests remembrances be contributions to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children.
