William Bass
HILLSBORO, Wis ? (Special) ? William A. Bass, 84, died Saturday, March 5, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lana Arms, in Milwaukee.
He was born in Trotno, O., and came to Forest township 78 years ago at the age of six. He married Martha Bass, unrelated.
For many years Bass served on the Eastman rural school district and was an active worker in the Seventh Day Adventist church of La Farge before it was disbanded several years ago.
He is survived by his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Otis (Blanche) Arms, Hillsboro, Mrs. Herman (Lana) Arms, Milwaukee, Mrs. Eddie Lloyd, Chicago, and Bertha Bass, Detroit; three sons, Lester, Detroit, Howard and Kenneth, both of Hillsboro; two sisters, Mrs. Harry Josshart, Milwaukee, aned Miss Martha Bass, bearing the same name as Mrs. Bass, of Madison; and 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 10, at the United Brethren church at Burr Ridge at 2 p.m., the pastor of the Seventh Day Adventist church of Richland Center officiating. Burial will be in the Burr cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hart Funeral Home in Hillsboro until the time of the funeral.
