He was a retired truck driver with XLG Transport. Surviving include his wife of 22 years, Elinda Young Boykin, children, Ashley Woodall, Linwood Ray Boykin, Jr., James Edelen and Terry Lawson; thirteen grandchildren; brothers, Timothy Boykin and Paul Boykin and a sister Debra Bates.
