John Denton and the Rev. Chris Riley, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Cemetery in Sweetwater, Okla., by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Mr. Bass died Monday, Sept. 29, 2003. He was born April 1, 1916, in Beckham County, Okla. He worked for United Carbon Co., Natural Gas Pipeline and the City of Borger. Survivors include five brothers, Durwood Bass of Olton, Harold Bass of Erick, Okla., Wayne Bass of Shamrock, Bert Bass of Borger and Dean Bass of Fritch; and a sister, Viola Potts of Lubbock. The family suggests memorials to Helping Hands.
