Bass, 89, of 4277 Interurban Street in Richardson, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Byrum Funeral Home in Lancaster, with the Rev. Leroy Ishmel officiating. Burial will be in Hutchins. Mr. Bass died Friday night in a Dallas hospital after about a month?s illness. Born in Hutchins, Mr. Bass had been a Dallas County resident all his life. He was a farmer most of his life, but served periodically as a deputy sheriff in counties surrounding Dallas. Mr. Bass was a member of the Hutchins Christian Church. He is survived by a brother Allie Bass of Hutchins. Pallbearers will be Hugh F. Peery, Jess Bass, L.R. Floyd, Don Watts, Don L. Baxter and G. P. C. Cook.
