Born in Robeson County, N.C., he was a son of James W. Bass and the late Mrs. Leatty Rogers Bass. Mr. Bass was engaged in large-scale farming and owned and operated several retail establishments. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lula Mae Walters Bass; his father of Robeson County; two daughters, Mrs. Nancy Rogers of Laek View and Miss Amy Bass of the home; a son, Tommy Bass of the home; and a brother, Albert Bass of Farimont, N.C. Services will be 4 p.m. today in Lake View Cemetery. Prevatte Funeral Home is in charge.
