Dorothy M. Bessette
FOXOBORO, Mass. – Dorothy M. Bessette, 72, of 67 Central Street, Foxboro, Mass., and formerly of Malone, died Oct. 24, 1994, at the Van Dora Nursing Home in Foxboro. She had been in ill health.
Born in Plattsburgh, Sept. 11, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Pete and Eva (Belrose) Dame.
She was married to Lester “Bing” Bessette. He died Oct. 15, 197?.
Mrs. Bessette lived in Malone most of her life before moving to Worcester, Mass., where she lived for 25 years. She moved to Foxboro two years ago.
While living in Malone, she worked as a waitress at Sansone’s Restaurant for many years.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Sandra) Smith and Mrs. Robert (Cheryl) Brote both of Franklin, Mass.; a step-daughter, Mrs. Margaret Walsh of Syracuse; and seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Two brothers, Harley and Lloyd Dame, died earlier.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at Notre Dame Church. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Van Dora Nursing Home Activities Fund, 57 Central St., Foxoboro, Mass. 02035.
Arrangements are through the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Service of Malone.
