Barbara Farmer Bass Clark, 79, of Louisburg died Friday, July 18, 2014 at her home. Born in Edgecombe County on April 17, 1935 to the late Jimmy and Dora Wallace Farmer. She was a district manager of The News and Observer and prior to that she worked as a dental assistant. She was preceded in death by her husbands, George Lee Bass, Jr. and Charles Clark. Graveside services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens with Rev. Edwin Hedgepeth and Rev. Tom Hollis officiating. She is survived by her daughters, Donna Fuller and her husband, Larry of Wake Forest, Tammy Bass and her husband, Earl of Castalia and Bonnie Hanson and her husband, Wesley of Grapevine, TX; her son, Allen Bass and his wife, Colleen of Warrenton, her brother, Ervin Farmer of Rocky Mount; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday night from 7 to 9:00 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Boulevard, Louisburg. Visitation
