B. Carmen Leon
Leon, B. Carmen 82, of Libertyville, IL, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2014 at Advocate Condell Medical Center. She was born March 11, 1932 in Marseilles, IL, was a former resident of Antioch, living in Libertyville the past 52 years. She was a 1950 graduate of Marseilles High School and a member of the United Methodist Church in Libertyville. Carmen enjoyed sewing and traveling and as her husband was a Libertyville High School coach for many years, never missed one of his basketball games. She was also very involved with her children's activities and would never miss one of the boy's basketball or baseball games or her daughter's concerts or marching band events. Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Larry Leon; 3 children, Bob (Marilyn) Leon of Van Wert, Ohio, Susan (Daniel) Pietsch of Idyllwild, CA and Jeff Leon of Rochelle, IL; 4 grandchildren, Craig and Bret Leon, Jeremy (Christina) Pietsch and Sierra (Jonathan) Adams; great-granddaughter, Keely Pietsch. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Bonnie Arnold and Margaret Kiefer. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at the Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave. (Rt. 176, one block west of Milwaukee Ave.) Libertyville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 26 at the United Methodist Church, 429 Brainerd Ave., Libertyville. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the United Methodist Church in her memory.
