The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel in Fairmont, the Rev. Steve Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Floyd Memorial Cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy R. Bass of the home; two sons, Eldred D. Bass of Lumberton and Jeffery P. Bass of Sanford; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday before the service at the funeral home.
