Barhamsville - Louise Jones Bassett went to be with the Lord on May 30, 2009, in Sentara Williamsburg Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Clarence Bassett Sr.; her sons, Calvin Jones, Robert Jones and Clarence Bassett Jr.; her sisters, Florence Piggott (Elmore), Elsie Lewis (Horace), Mary Saunders, Marian Brown, Virginia Braxton (Alvin), Jean Jones, Doris Bailey (Willie) and Helen Bowman; her brothers, Samuel T. Jones Jr. and Willie Jones (Coloris). Viewing will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church in Barhamsville. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, at the church. Services entrusted to Forrest Funeral Home, West Point.
