Gracie Bass
CLINTON ? Gracie Elizabeth Bass, 76, of 1311-C Jasper St., passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Sampson Regional Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 21, at Piney Grove Baptist Church in Faison, with the Rev. Richard Weeks and Pastor Lynn Blackburn officiating. Interment will follow in the Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Gracie, born in 1939 in Onslow County, was the daughter of the late Thaddeus Daw and Katie Hare Daw. She was a seamstress and a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Ebbens Bass; and three brothers, William Lane, Alvin Lane and Kenneth Daw.
Survivors are her daughters; Gail Davis and husband John of Wilmington and Glenda Blackburn and fiancé James Ammons; son, Jeffrey Bass and wife Shelia of Clinton; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Letha Godfrey, Jean Halas and husband Jim, Lou Ann Bell and Virginia Conleyand husband Richard; brothers, J. T. Daw and wife Joyce, and Roy Daw and wife Elaine.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, April 20, at Crumpler Honeycutt Funeral Home and at other times at the home of J.T. Daw, 2548 Brown Chruch Road, Clinton.
