Amber Pearl Bass Buda
Amber Pearl Buda, beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, was born on September 2, 1981 to Derwin and Esther Bass of Live Oak, FL. After living a life full of love, service, kindness, faith, and joy, Amber was called home on July 1, 2026. We find comfort in knowing Amber was welcomed into heaven by her grandparents, James E. Bunch and Willie Mae Bass and Norman and Pearl Anders.
Amber leaves behind her husband, John Buda, her daughters, Danica Williams and Alivia Buda, her parents, Derwin and Esther Bass, her sisters, Shelley (Jacob) Grantham, and Dana (Brad) Thompson, several nieces and nephews, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
As a child, Amber made friends everywhere she went, loved to dance, walk on her hands, swim, and enjoy the sunshine. As the oldest daughter, she had her dad wrapped around her finger and her mom's heart. She was the best big sister to Shelley and Dana and their best friend and showed them genuine love each day.
Amber graduated from Suwannee High School in 2000 where she enjoyed cheerleading and was loved by all who knew her. She was dedicated and hardworking. While earning her AA degree , she worked at a daycare where she made an impact on so many children. She started her career at the Florida Department of Law Enforcement in 2003 as a receptionist. There she fell in love with the people and became a Certified Criminal Intelligence Analyst. In her twenty-three year career, s??he loved helping solve cases and found joy in her work and work family. A year and a half ago Amber decided to pursue her passion in real estate and truly blossomed into an amazing realtor at Grantham Realty. She was known for her dedication, great communication and genuine love for her customers.
Her most cherished accomplishment has been raising two beautiful, strong, and caring daughters with John. Danica and Alivia were the center of her world and she was a wonderful mother- always putting them and everyone else before herself. She was their biggest cheerleader and their best friend. Her legacy will live on through her daughters. Amber was a supportive, loving, and loyal wife. Some of her favorite times were the time spent with John, the girls, family, and friends. She loved to travel, especially to anywhere with water. She loved the river, the beach, the lake, and the pool- anywhere she could soak up the sun and beautiful skies. She also enjoyed watching a good mystery, playing cards with family, gardening, working on projects with John, soaking in her tub and watching a beautiful sunset.
There are not enough words to describe Amber, but here are a few shared by her friends and family: selfless, loyal, humble, kind, strong, determined, gracious, and beautiful inside and out. Amber made such a positive impact on everyone she met and will be truly missed. She had a remarkable way of making everyone feel welcomed, valued, and loved. Amber would want those left behind not to remain in sorrow, but to treasure every day. Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we hold on to the promise of seeing her again.
There will be a celebration of Amber?s life on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at 12 noon at Westwood Baptist Church. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10am - 12 noon. Please sign the online guestbook with a favorite memory of Amber and keep the family in your prayers.
