A.A. Bass dies in Ardmore
A.A. Bass, longtime resident of Chandler and Lincoln county, succumbed Wednesday, April 26 in an Ardmore hospital at the age of 89 years.
Bass came to Lincoln county during the early days and operated a photographic studio in Chandler, and during the later years of his life in Stroud. He was preceeded in death by his wife, who died in Chandler several years ago.
He had been visiting a sister, Mrs. Will Easley in Ardmore when he b ecame ill and was taken to a hospital there. Another sisters survives him. She is Mrs. Bea Leonard of Gainsville, Texas.
Funeral service were held in Ardmore Friday morning with Rev. Edwin Parker delivering the service message. Rev. R.R. Reed, of the Methodist church in Stroud conducted graveside services in Chandler later on Friday afternoon. Burial was in the Ok Park cemetery at Chandler. Bass was a member of the Methodist church at Stroud.
