Alice Martine Price
BLOOMINGTON - Alice Martine Price, 81, Bay View Gardens, formerly of Bloomington, passed away at 2:32 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 17, 2010) at OSF St. Clare Nursing Home in Peoria Heights.
Assisting the family in arrangements is Affordable Funeral and Cremation Service. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Alice was born on Jan. 17, 1929, in McHenry, Ky., to Pyrie and Mildred Trail Mitchell.
She is survived by her best friend and companion of six years, Terry Vandergraft; one daughter, Patricia Boyd, Bay View Gardens; three sons, Steven (Betty) Tuttle, Mayfield, Ky.; Ralph (Connie) Raithel, Bellevue; and Jeff (Joanne) Raithel, Bay View Gardens; 17 grandkids; 32 great-grandkids; and several great-great-grandkids. She was preceded in death by one son, Roger Bass; one brother, Willie Elmer Mitchell; and one sister, Dorothy Darlene Creel.
Alice loved to dance, bead, go to garage sales, but above all else, loved her family and never put herself before others.
She owned her own housecleaning business for 17 years. Alice loved her job and also had worked for the Neighborhood House of Peoria.
