Tommy Bass
Tommy Bass, 85, of Oakman, went home on Aug. 26, 2012, at his residence.
Visitation will be held today, Aug. 27, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, at 3 p.m. in the Kilgore-Green Chapel. Burial will follow at Tubbs Hill Church of Christ Cemetery. Carl Uptain will officiate.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Pauline Tubbs Bass; daughters, Carolyn Hodges (Elbert), Jeannine Rice (Ray), Donna Ingram (Lamar) and Denise Lawrence; son, Greg Bass (Melissa); 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Nellie Bass.
He was a beautiful, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. His life was an amazing journey he shared with his beautiful wife, precious daughters and son, who meant all the world to him. He was happy with the simple things in life. He was a veteran and a Mason that lived a Christian life. You were a blessed person to know him. There wasn't a person that he met that he didn't touch. He was always with us and we will all be together soon.
