The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Emmanuel United Church of Christ with the Rev. Larry Person officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. Mr. Bass is survived by his wife, Shelia Bass of the home; daughters, Jennifer Ann Bass and Me?Lisa O?Shelia Bass of the home; parents, Benjamin and Athalene Bass of Mt. Olive; mother and father-in-law Mary and Bernard Smith of Sedalia; sisters, Linda Bass, of Durham, Patricia Nelson and husband Rick of Durham and Brenda Bass of Mt. Olive; brothers, Leroy K. Bass and wife Madeline of Mt. Olive, Dwight Bass and wife Cheretha of Canada, Anthoney Bass and wife Cassandra, of Tennessee and stepbrother Herbert Jones, of New Jersey; several aunts, uncles, sister and brother-in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends for ½ hour prior to the service on Monday. Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Service is assisting the Bass family.
