  Notes	Plattsburgh Press Republican, Monday, 31 Jan 1944 Mrs. Leon Bassett, 38 Cadyville Dies Mrs. Leon Bassett, 38, died Saturday at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. James Murphy at Cadyville. She succumbed to illness of eight years. Mrs. Bassett, nee Rose Murphy, is survived by her parents, her husband, one daughter, Viola, twelve; one brother, Pvt. Andrew Murphy, serving in New Guinea, and one sister, Mrs. Catherine Cummings of Ogdensburg. The body is at the Murphy home at Cadyville. Funeral services will be held at St. James’ Church, Cadyville, Tuesday morning at ten o’clock. Interment will be in St. James’ cemetery.
