Steve Elvin Bass, 59, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024 in Mobile, Alabama. Steve was born to Steve D. and Loretta S. Bass on February 3, 1965 in Crestview, Florida. He proudly served his country with the United States Air Force, before moving into a career with the Postal Service, which he retired from after 35 years. He enjoyed drag racing. Steve was a loving husband, step-father, and brother ? and had a passion for family that could not be surpassed.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, and step-daughter-in-law, Carol Hamblin.
He is survived by his loving wife, Debra D. Bass; step-children, William ?B.J.? Hamblin (fiancé, LeAnne) and Kari Chapman (Ed); grandchildren, Jayce Hamblin, Ayden Chapman, Victoria Patrick, Elizabeth Patrick, Kaylee Howard, Allen Chapman, and Mary Ann Chapman; brother, Michael D. Bass (Suzie); niece, Elizabeth Ann Simmons; nephew, Sam Bass; as well has other cherished family and friends.
Private Service will be held.
