Ronald James Derdzinski
Ronald James Derdzinski (Ron Dee), 70, of Morton Grove, IL / Naples, FL, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 5th, 2014 in Miami, Florida. He is survived by his beloved wife Marlene (Molly), daughter Rebecca, son Seth (Ashley), grandson Clarke, brothers Raymond (Gloria) and Richard, and sister Debra. Brother in law to the Romaniszak family and Uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Raymond and his mother Marion (nee Bassett). Ron was a lifelong Chicagoan, an army veteran and a car dealer for almost 50 years with a reputation of integrity, honesty and fairness. We are proud of the work ethic he instilled in us and carry that sense of pride in our hearts. His anthem was Frank Sinatra's "My Way" and he lived his life accordingly. We will miss him; especially his passion for living life on his own terms. A memorial mass will be held at Old St. Patrick's Church of Chicago on Wednesday, May 21st at 2:00 PM. In lieu of gifts, the family requests donations are made to the Marine Corps - Law Enforcement Foundation (www.mc-lef.org) in support of America's fallen heroes.
