Worth Franklin Bass, 73, retired textile worker of Route 1, Troutman, died this morning at Davis Hospital. He had bee in declining health for the past eight years and seriously ill for five days. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Irene Nesbit Bass; three sons, H.L. Bass, J.A. Bass, Cleytus R. Bass; four daughters, Mrs. K.E. Carrigan and Mrs. W.T. Overcash, all of Route 1, Troutman; Mrs. F. C. Mayhew of Route 3, Salisbury; and Mrs. H.T. Mayhew, Route, Mooresville; three stepchildren, Mrs. W.R. Nesbit, Route 1, Troutman; Mrs. B.B. Smith and Mrs Ben Dunerburke, Route 5, Kannapolis; one sisters, Mrs. L.M. Nesbit, Route 1, Troutman; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was a member of New Perth ARP Chruch at Troutman, where funeral services will be conductd at 3 p.m. Sunday by the Rev. W.C. Lauderdale, and the Rev. Cecil Dial. Burial will be in the Perth Cemetery, near Troutman.
