Marlene Amerson Bass
Marlene Amerson Bass, 91, of Saratoga, passed away Monday, September 2, 2024. Marlene is survived by her daughter, Brenda Brockwell of Emporia, Va and her son, Mike Bass of Saratoga, her grandchildren, Stephanie Rawlings and husband Jeff of Emporia, Jenny Sykes of Emporia, John Sykes and wife Meredith of Jarratt, VA, Dustin Brewer and wife Stephanie of Nashville, TN, Shane Baker and wife Judy of Elms City, NC., great grandkids, Justin Rawlings and wife Lexi, Seth Rawlings, Mckayla Rogers, Haley Lovins and husband Cyle, Aaliyah Rogers, Baxter Brewer, Dawson Sykes, Sutton Sykes, Hadley Sykes, Abbey Fess and husband Matt, Lauren Baker, Ashley Baker and partner Dana, great-great grandkids, Arlie Rawlings, Whitley Rawlings, Willow Fess, Sawyer Fess and sisters Barbara Eatmon of Ahoskie, NC and Nancy Carey of Athens, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her parents Luby and Madeline Amerson; husband, Lynwood "Pete" Bass and daughter, Shirlene Baker, grandson Ronald Baker, siblings, Betty Little, Eloise Lewis, Bennie Thomas Amerson "Bill" and Melvin Amerson.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at Stantonsburg Town Cemetery with Rev. David Turner officiating.
