Tracy Bassett

Tracy Bassett was born on July 13, 1964 to the late Curtis and Ida Bassett.
At an early age, she joined Mount Nebo Baptist Church. She graduated from New Kent High School in 1982.
She worked in food service for many years including 20 years at the bowling alley. She was currently working at the Christmas Mouse and Captain George?s Restaurant.
Tracy was a kind and sweet person who worked hard and was independent. She was full of life, fun, and brought joy to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.
She was also preceded in death by her two brothers, William ?Sonny? Bassett and John Bassett.
She leaves to cherish her memories five sisters: Shirley Bassett of Baltimore, MD, Nettie Ivey (Chris), Williamsburg, VA, Sharlon Greenhow (Timmy), Williamsburg, Va, Marita Bassett of Newport News, Va; five brothers, Kenny Shackleford of Williamsburg, Va, Curtis Bassett Jr. of Alabama, Rev. Howard Bassett of California, Bruce Bassett (Michelle) of King Williams, VA, Donald Bassett (Shelia Whiting) of Newport News, VA; Aunt, Gertrude; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, January 17, 2022, at Whiting?s Funeral Home. Live stream will be available at the beginning of the service. Ms. Bassett may be viewed on Monday beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the hour of her service. Facial coverings are required for all services.
