  Notes	Fort Wayne Newspapers, January 3, 2012 Beverly J. Bassett BEVERLY J. BASSETT, 78, of Monroe, Ind., passed away Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012 at Lutheran Hospital. Born on May 21, 1933 in Decatur, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Helen (Ross) Lister. On Sept. 6, 1953 she married James R. "Jim" Bassett. He preceded her in death July 14, 2010. Beverly was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Decatur where she taught Sunday school and was involved in the women's circle. She retired from the United Telephone Company in Decatur. She is survived by her son, Scott (Calynn) Bassett of Woodburn; daughter, Nan (Kevin) Cook of Decatur; brother Gerald "Jerry" (Marcia) Lister of Fort Wayne; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Merlin Lister; and sister, Pam VanCamp. Funeral service is 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012 at First United Methodist Church with calling 1/2 hour prior. Rev. Martha Lyon officiating. Visitation is from 2 to 7p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012 at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home. Burial at Decatur Cemetery.
