Gloria Bass Burch
Services for Gloria J. Bass Burch, 55, of Hudson, were held Thursday, Nov. 8, 2001 in the Gipson-Metcalf Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Mrs. Burch was born Dec. 20, 1945 in Lufkin and died Tuesday, Nov 6, 2001 in a Lufkin hospital. She was a homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She was a former supervisor for the housekeeping department at Angelina College. She was of the Church of Christ faith and had resided in the Hudson area all her life. An artist of nature, she had a natural touch with nature to beautify anything she touched. Plants and flowers were her livelihood. She greatly loved her grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Survivors: husband, Joseph D. Burch of Huntington, son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Dwaye and Kristie Mathews of Hudson; granddaughters, Karlie Mathews, Kendall Mathews, both of Lufkin and Amanda Mathews of Oklahoma; mother, Bernice P. Mason of Hudson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gowland and Katie Bass of Hudson, Gordon Lewis and Linda Bass of Fort Worth; niece and husband, Michielle and Curtis Stanley of Hudson; nephew and wife Michael and Julie Bass of Fort Worth; niece, Brandy Bass and Billy Holt of Hudson; numerous other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and other relatives.
Mrs. Burch was preceded in death by her father, Rowland G. Bass.
