Robert Miller
Weston - Robert James Miller, 72, Weston, Ohio, died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 2, 1934, to Thomas Miller and Lillian "Bassett" McKinney in Middlesboro, Ky.
Robert married Minnie Rice on Sept. 25, 1957, and surviving are their children: Melvin (Evelyn) Miller of Van Wert, Ohio; Robbin (Anthony) Miller of Elkhart, Ind., Cheryl (Raymond) James of Las Vegas, Nev.; Lisa (Spencer) Miller of Defiance, Ohio; Jessica (Walter) Miller of Elkhart, Ind.; Robert "Jay" (Kathy) Miller of Ottawa, Ohio; Nathan (Ginger) Miller of Defiance, Ohio; Tyson (Brandy) Miller of Defiance, Ohio; Ramona (Demetrius) Miller of Defiance Ohio. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren and 13 great-grand children; former wives, Minnie Miller and Barb Whitford; and a special friends, Sally Bryant.
Robert retired from Campbell Soup Supply Co. in Napoleon, Ohio. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy as a naval seaman. Robert served on numerous commissions and boards and was involved in local summer softball leagues. He was a member of American Legion Post 409, Weston, Ohio.
Robert's parents and his brother, Jesse McKinney, preceded him in death. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home & Crematory, 1460 W. Wooster St., Bowling Green, 419-352-2171.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007, at 10 a.m. in the Deck-Hanneman Chapel, Bowling Green, with Elder Gary V. Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverview Memory Gardens Cemetery, Defiance. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, PO Box 634445. Cincinnati, Ohio 45263.
