Religious services at the funeral home chapel at 3 p.m. Thursday, conducted by the Revs. Carey Martin and Larry Stafford. Burial in Woodland Cemetery. Survived by his wife, Mrs. Edna H. Bass, Kentwood; one son, Jake Bass Jr., of Kentwood; two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Betty) Ward, Ferriday, Mrs. Ben (George) Herrington, Kentwood; one sister, Mrs. Viola Black, Pine Bluff, Ark.; 13 grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.
