Ralph Lee Bass, 81, of Glasgow, died Thursday, February 16, 2012 at his home. He was born in Wayne County, the son of the late Bram and Icey Owens Bass.He was a carpenter and farmer and was a former employee of Gray Construction.He was a member of Ellers Chapel Methodist Church.He is survived by his wife, Betty Buster Bass; three sons - Jeff (Sonya) Bass, of Glasgow, Allen (Marlene) Bass, of Monticello, and Robert Bass, of Glasgow; three grandchildren - Brian Bass, April Johnson and Devin Bass; three great-grandchildren Lauren and Braeden Bass and Caleb Johnson; one brother Melvin Bass, of Indiana; and two sisters Ruby Guffey of Indianapolis, and Jewell Guffey, of Monticello.Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 19, 2012 in the funeral home chapel.Burial was in the Elk Spring Cemetery.A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
