George W. Bass
George W. Bass, 73, of Memphis, retired civil engineer for Grinder, Tabor & Grander, died of respiratory failure Wednesday at Methodist Healthcare-Central. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Catholic Church, where he was a deacon, with burial in Memorial Park. Memorial Park Funeral Home has charge. he was a youth leader and baseball coach for the Diocese of Memphis, a Boy Scout leader and 4th degree Knights of Columbus member. Mr. Bass, the widower of Jimmie Lowe Bass, leaves a daughter, Peggy Johnston of Harvest, Ala.; two sons, Bill Bass of Bartlett and Steve Bass of Horn Lake; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild. The family requests that any memorials be sent to charity of the donor?s choice.
