Suzanne J. (Bassett) Lajoie
Suzanne M. (Bassett) Lajoie, 75, of Gardner, died peacefully Sunday, March 6, 2022, in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, with her family by her side after a brief illness.
Born in Templeton on February 12, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Marion Irma (Beal) Bassett. She graduated from Narragansett Regional High School, Templeton, with the Class of 1965 and received an Associate's Degree in Business Administration. Suzanne was a Secretary employed by Kirk Eastern Corporation for 43-years prior to her retirement in 2019.
Suzanne enjoyed reading, crocheting, playing BINGO, and taking trips to Foxwoods. She loved going out to eat with her friends, especially her best friend, Kathie LaBonte. She was an avid fan of both the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. Suzanne's greatest joy in life was her family, always treasuring the time they spent together.
Suzanne is survived by her daughter, Tammy Crockett of Gardner; a granddaughter, Marisa Gaudet and her husband Shawn of Gardner; two great-grandchildren, Elaina and Archie Gaudet; her life-partner of 25-years, Bradley Stockman of Gardner; a half-brother, Jeffrey Bassett of Gardner; and two cousins, Harold and Ellen Chapman.
She was predeceased by her half-brother, Michael Bassett.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 14, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Burial at Pine Grove Cemetery, Patriots Road, Templeton, MA, will be held at a later date.
Calling Hours will be held Monday, March 14, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
