  Notes	Sun Commercial, Vincennes, Indiana, 7 February 1950 Gerald C. Bass Taken By Death Gerald C. Bass, 74, of South Fifteenth street, died at his home at 3 p.m. Monday after a lingering illness. He was born Oct. 11, 1875, son of John and Augusta Foster Bass. His wife, Emma Jane Bass, preceded him to death. The following children survive: Gerald E. Bass, Iola Geraldine Bass, Mrs. Doris Carris and Mrs. Ethyl McAndrews, all of Vincennes, a brother, Barney Bass and a sister, Mrs. Beulah Beck, also of Vincennes. Nine grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted from the Brockman chapel at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Captain Myron L. Johnson of the Salvation Arny officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
