Gwendolyn Bass Goodson
Ruth, age 78, is now in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior. She left this world healthy, happy and peacefully in her sleep the evening of February 21. She was born and raised in Tallahassee, FL and enjoyed living the past seventeen years in Crawfordville, FL. Ruth will be forever remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family and the joy she brought to all who knew her.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents Don and Addie Mae Bass, brothers Donnie Bass and Ed Bass. She is survived by her children James Park Goodson III and Ashley Ruth Goodson Rutland, stepdaughter Sheila Goodson Weston(Dave), her grandchildren Carson Rutland Mainwood (Jeff), Parker Bryce Rutland, Lexie Goodson(Dylan Coley), James Park Goodson IV, Rachael Weston, Sarah Weston, her great grandchildren Eason Travis Mainwood, Gwendolyn Lei Mainwood, Kallie Coley, Kaden Coley, her sisters Barbara Law and Gloria Burke, her brother Ray Bass (Sharon) and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Her children would like to extend a special thank you to Ruth's wonderful community of neighbors that loved her and watched over her always.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at 1:30pm at The Retreat at Bradley's Pond.
