  Notes	The Orange Leader, Texas, Monday 15 October 1934 Funeral Services For Mrs. Bass to Be Held Today Mrs. Octova Bass, died at her home in Starks, LA., after a protracted illness of several months. Mrs. Bass is survived by her husband and five children. Funeral services will be held from the residence Tuesday morning at 10 o?clock and interment will be in the Miller cemetery under direction of the Ortmeyer funeral home. Find-A-Grave Obituary Mrs. Andrew Bass Mrs. Andrew Bass, 36, died at her home in Starks Sunday at 1:30 o?clock. Funeral services were conducted at the Miller cemetery with Rev. Nichols officiating. Interment was under direction of Snider funeral home. The deceased is survived by five children, Harold, Clifford, Willard, G.W., and Faye; three brothers, Walter Gillis, Garland Gillis, Ralph Gillis, all of DeQuincy; four sisters, Mrs. Christ Phillips of DeQuincy, Mrs. J.C. Dorman of Port Arthur, Mrs. C.W. Dorman of Orange, Mrs. O. Courmmier of Vinton and Miss Myrtle Gillis of DeQuincy.
