Joel Bass Funeral Set In Dexter Saturday
The funeral for Joel P. Bass, 22, Tampa, Fla., formerly of Brownville, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter. Burial will be in Brownville Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Bass died at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday in a Tampa hospital after undergoing surgery.
Surviving are his wife, Kelly, Syracuse; a daughter, Danielle, Syracuse; his father and stepmother, Patrick and Carol Bass, Liverpool; his mother and stepfather, Kay and Christopher Gannon, Wilmington, N.C.; a brother, David, serving in the Navy at Norfolk, Va., and a sister, Mrs. Anthony (Heather) Sears, Wilmington, N.C.
Born in Watertown on April 21, 1966, a son of Patrick and Kay Kirby Bass, he attended General Brown Central High School, Dexter, and married Kelly Murphy in 1984 in Liverpool.
The couple had lived in Liverpool, North Carolina and Tampa.
