Raoul Bessette
HOLYOKE (Wednesday) – Raoul Bessette, of 1284 Westover Trailer Park, Chicopee, was dead on arrival at Holyoke Hospital this morning. He was taken to the hospital in the Chicopee police ambulance.

HOLYOKE ? Raoul J. Bessette, 54, of 1286 Grattan St., Chicopee Falls, died en route to Holyoke Hospital Tuesday night. Medical Examiner Edmund J. Zielinski said death was due to an acute heart attack. Mr. Bessette suffered an attack in his home and was being taken to the hospital by ambulance. He was born in Webster, and had been a resident of Aldenville for the past 47 years. He was educated in the Chicopee grammar schools and received his high school education in Canada. For the past 20 years he was employed by the A.V. Rivest Oil Co. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Marguerite (Tessier) Bessette, one son, Donald of Pompey, N.Y., three daughters, Mrs. William L?Esperance of Hampton, Va., Mrs. Lawrence Mayo of North Charleston and Mrs. Richard D?Amour of Milltown, Fla., two brothers, Girard and Rosario, both of Aldenville; five sisters, Mrs. Edward Dube of Boston, Mrs. Leo Andre of Aldenville, Mrs. Roland Maseau of Holyoke, Mrs. Raymoned Benoit of Springfield and Mrs. Robert Demers of Canton, Me., seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at the J.H. Fleury & Sons funeral home Saturday morning with solemn requiem high mass in St. Rose De Lima Church. Burial will be in St. Rose Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are today and Friday 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.
