Providence ? Darrell R. Bessette
DARRELL R. BESSETTE, 30, of 970 Hydropondsville Road, Smith's Grove, Ky., died Sept. 21 at home.
Born in Providence, a son of Elizabeth (Giammarco) Glenn of South Berwick, Maine, and Richard J. Bessette of Smith's Grove, he lived in Rhode Island most of his life.
Mr. Bessette was a supervisor for Wiseway Trucking Co. of Wisconsin for four years. He had been a volunteer fireman and paramedic in South Kingstown. He was an amateur NASCAR driver, and worked with the pit crew for a professional team out of Anoka, Minnesota.
Besides his parents, he leaves three sons, Timothy Bessette and Ryan Bessette, both in Kentucky, and Tanner Bessette in Minnesota; one daughter, Tee Jay Bessette in Minnesota; four brothers, Michael Bessette, Dale Bessette, and Richard "Ricky" Bessette all in Kentucky, and Brandon Glenn of South Berwick; one sister, Kerri Bessette in Kentucky, and his maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Giammarco of North Providence. He was a grandson of the late Salvatore Giammarco, and the late Ovila and Irene (Barrett) Bessette.
Services and burial will be in Smith's Grove. A memorial service will be held in Rhode Island at a later date
